New Golden Tulip Hotel in Diegem

A completely new Golden Tulip Hotel is being built in the Belgian town of Diegem near Brussels. A business hotel that can be found on the motorway and near to the Zaventem international airport.

The Corswarem company is responsible for the installation of the curtain walls and the glazing of the whole of the complex. Two HEK mast climbing work platforms have been positioned of the MCM type for the execution of the work. One has a single mast with a platform length of 12 metres with two extensions of 1.60 metres and one is a 26-metre double mast platform. Both have a mast height of 20 metres.

“We often rent mast climbing work platforms from Alimak Hek. A mast climbing work platform is the best solution for us because we often have to install heavy material,” says Mr Bart Grommen, Project Manager at Corswarem. “We can work faster, it is ergonomic for our employees and we have the option of installing the structure by using a crane. These are the most important reasons why we choose to use mast climbing work platforms. A mast climbing work platform seems to initially be more expensive but we quickly see a return in investment due to the speed at which we can work!”

The Corswarem company has purchased the HEK MCM mast climbing work platforms. The erection of the 3 platforms they own is, however, carried out by Alimak Hek.
